    ๐ŸŒ Translation button

    Access this feature through the icon

    โœจ What this feature does

    The translation button stores your preferred languages in priority order.

    The first language in the list becomes the default for the UI, translation, and other AI features.

    You can also:

    • Click the button to switch quickly between the original page and the translated page.
    • Long press the button to open the advanced settings panel.
    • Choose whether translation should start automatically for each website.

    ๐Ÿ‘† Use the translation button

    • Click: Toggle between the original page and the translated page for the current website.
    • Long press: Open the advanced settings panel to adjust translation options.

    ๐Ÿ—‚๏ธ Set your language priority

    1. Long press the translation button to open the advanced settings panel.
    2. Click the language priority button.
    3. Add one or more languages.
    4. Put your main language first.
    5. Click Save language priority.

    Common examples:

    • Simplified Chinese, English
    • Japanese, English
    • Espaรฑol, English

    ๐Ÿ”„ Translate the current page

    Click the translation button to switch between the original page and the translated page.

    • If the current page does not have a translated version yet, HuBrowser starts translation first and then switches to the translated page.
    • If the current page is already translated, clicking again switches back to the original page.
    • You can keep clicking to move back and forth between the original and translated versions.

    โš™๏ธ Open advanced settings

    Long press the translation button to open the advanced settings panel.

    From there, you can:

    • Set your language priority.
    • Check the current translation status.
    • Restart translation or retry after a failure.
    • Switch translation services.
    • Choose whether translation should start automatically for the current website.

    ๐ŸŒ Set auto-start for a website

    In the advanced settings panel, you can decide whether translation should start automatically for the current website.

    Common examples:

    • Turn auto-start on for foreign-language websites you visit often.
    • Turn auto-start off for websites where you prefer to keep the original text.

    This setting is saved by hostname, so you can configure each website separately.

    ๐Ÿ”€ Switch translation services

    The advanced settings panel currently supports two translation providers:

    • Google Translate
    • SelfReason

    When you switch providers, the panel saves that choice and immediately restarts translation with the newly selected service.

    ๐Ÿง  Translation providers

    Google translate

    Google Translate is the default provider.

    • It is fast and works well for most websites.
    • It is a good default choice for everyday page translation.

    SelfReason

    SelfReason is HuBrowser's AI translation service.

    • It requires PRO membership in the user-facing product.
